David, I find your examination of 80s graphic styles to be an excellent start.
However, one trend that's missing from your dissection is this: the use of grey grid lines on a white background, with either splashy typography (as if it were splashed on by a paint brush) or geometric shapes and letters.
I'm thinking particularly of the KJ103 bumper sticker, although I can find no evidence of this at the moment.
Do you know what I mean?
