Cam is adorable. Looks like lots of picture taking. We're doing lots of that as well. Today was a quiet day, but had fun at a neat flea market & produce galore....tonight a Jazz thingy @ Kapalua Golf Club's Pineapple Grill.
Hey Deedge -- Photos bring back many fond memories. The shot taken at the top of Spanish Steps shows a building in the background. My favorite hotel is the building next to it. It's the Scalinata di Spagna Hotel and the view from their roof terrace is to die for! You can see St. Peter's on the horizon and at night if the dome is lit that means Il Papa Joey Ratzi is in residence.
Btw, who was the famous author who sayed, yea died? in the building by the Spanish Steps. I'm having a senior moment.
I believe the author was a young John Keats. There's a well-known English tea room on the other side of the steps.
Yes, the English Romantic John Keats died there, he of "Ode on a Grecian Urn" fame. I personally prefer "Ode to a Nightingale" but that's another post. They also give props to Percy Shelley at the same house, although he drowned rather than succumbed to consumption. Both very Romantic ways to go.
