Wikipedia is quite simply the world's ultimate repository of knowledge. It may be the biggest and best idea in human history: a dynamic, democratic encyclopaedia available to (nearly) everyone in the world, free from the expense of printing, larger than any library in the world. Ancient scholars would have absolutely drooled over the prospect of such a creation.
